Today is a day that requires no exercise but only a focus on eating. I switched my work out day for yesterday because I will have such a long day it important to get the rest that I need. I guess this is as good of time as any to take a moment to speak on the role sleep plays in weight loss. Now I certainly am no doctor, or any credible source for that matter to speak scientifically on sleep, but I can say that I have read many articles on how a lack of sleep has some connection to poor eating choices. For me sleep is connected mostly to feeling good, and it gives me the ability to wake up early in the morning to get my work outs in. I have a infant as well so sleep is super important right now because I have to make consessions for waking up in the night for her already so if I didnt take care to get enough rest I would be a walking zombie. Ultimately the whole purpose of exercise and eating healthy is to take care of your body. It should be no surprise that getting enough rest is tied to that notion.
